The Minnesota Legislature passed a historic Jobs Bill, signed by Governor Tim Pawlenty on April 1, 2010. Larkin Hoffman attorneys Bill Griffith, Julie Perrus and Jerry Seck assisted a coalition of contractors, builders, members of the building trades and professionals serving the construction industry in drafting measures to stimulate new construction, renovation, and redevelopment. The bill includes an angel investment tax credit, credits for historic rehabilitation, new and expanded authority for tax increment financing and voluntary assessments for energy saving improvements to buildings. It is estimated to create between 12,000 and 20,000 jobs across Minnesota.
