Larkin Hoffman Names New Shareholders

Larkin Hoffman Daly & Lindgren Ltd. is pleased to announce that Julie L. Perrus and Michael J. Mergens have been elected as shareholders of the firm.

Julie’s practice is focused in regulatory and administrative law, including land development, state and local financing, environmental permitting, energy and business issues. Julie has extensive experience lobbying the Minnesota legislature, state agencies, and local units of government. Julie was included on the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” in 2012. In 2011, she was appointed by St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman to serve on the St. Paul Planning Commission and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Zoning Committee. Julie is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Land Trust and is active with the Minnesota Chapter of the US Green Building Council.

Mike is a former small business owner who brings an entrepreneurial approach to his practice. Mike focuses on assisting a broad range of industries from mining to commercial real estate before state agencies and local governments. His practice includes property tax appeals, eminent domain, land use disputes and a broad range of environmental compliance and permitting issues. He has been included on the Super Lawyers magazine list of Rising Stars® from 2010 to the present. Before joining Larkin Hoffman, Mike spent two and half years at the Minnesota Court of Appeals as law clerk for the Honorable Robert Schumacher. He is active in Bar and community associations, including the Section of Environment, Energy and Resources for the ABA; the Minnesota Eminent Domain Institute; the Department of Health Criteria Task Force for the Evaluation of Potential Contaminants of Emerging Concern; and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Environmental and Natural Resources Committee.
